SUDDEN TRAVEL AROUND KL

TUGU NEGARA NATIONAL MONUMENT

YEAH, it's Tugu Negara National Monument as we could see in the picture above guys! It is a must for Malaysians and tourists to visit here. I and my friend got a chance to visit this place last year after a long period, straight from ALAM. The National Monument is a sculpture that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War 2 and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. We all know how much sacrifice our soldiers had done and we cant simply forgot them so we should find some time to visit the national monument.

The picture on your right is the Kuala Lumpur Cenotaph. Names of the fallen soldiers are engraved on the plaques of the cenotaph as a token of tribute to their sacrifices. In 1964, the cenotaph was moved from its original location to the site of the National Monument in Lake Gardens before a planned flyover connecting Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin and the Parliament roundabout was constructed over the original site.

At the outside of the national monument, there is a garden and ponds. There were many colorful flowers and trees in the garden. The surrounding was so calm and we enjoyed sitting and chit-chatting. Colorful and variety of fish were found in the pond. Turtles were swimming from one side to another side to find food. As usual, there was bread in my beg and we feed them. Click the video below and enjoy.

                                                       THE MUZIUM NEGARA

Our next stop was at the Muzium Negara after a quick dress change HAHA. It was not costly to enter in, just RM 2 for Malaysian citizens which is worthy to visit the total 4 galleries.

1} Prehistory Gallery

The Prehistory Gallery on the first floor showcases the formation of the Malay Archipelago to the findings of numerous important prehistoric archaeological sites in Malaysia.

2} Malay Kingdoms Gallery

The Early Malay Kingdom Gallery features the existence of the Malay States and highlights the zenith of the Malaccan Empire during the 15th century as a center for the spice trade and the proliferation of Islam.

3} Colonial Era Gallery

The fall of the Malaccan Empire in 1511 to the Portuguese was the start of 446 years of foreign influence, from the Dutch, British and then Japanese.

4} Malaysia Today

The Malaysia Today Gallery brings visitors to the sights and sounds of the Road Towards Independence.
We saw many stones and artifact which symbolize the era such as paleolithic, neolithic, and mesolithic. Different cultures and traditions also were published there. I am not able to tell you every single thing because there are lots of things to explore so you should go there. You will be surprised to see the surroundings and you will learn the history and general knowledge by seeing new things that you have been missed in your whole life.

                                                      PAVILION

We continue our trip to the Pavilion. Because of the Christmas season, the mall was decorated with lights and Christmas trees as the picture below. There was also the statue of the IRON MAN, which is one of my favorite characters in Marvel movies. We moved from there because of the huge crowd.

                                                                  KL TWIN TOWER

It is the Signature building which is still in the process of building. this picture was taken from the car while going to the Twin Tower building. I had been there many times but this time is for a secret birthday celebration for my friend. We first enjoy walking around the garden and took many stylish pictures as a memory. The Christmas tree was so tall and was decorated with colorful lights and a star was placed on top of it. At last, we celebrate her birthday by cutting a piece of the cake below the twin tower. This would be her last birthday celebration in Malaysia because she is going to continue her studies at INDONESIA.
